What should we do during today’s eclipse?

For most of human history, eclipses have been perceived as a time to go inward in many cultures and traditions. They are considered delicate events that should be treated with awareness and sacredness. In a solar eclipse, the sun’s light is blocked by the moon’s transit, creating a moment of darkness. During this time, moving inwards and concentrating on your inner light is essential. It’s a time to retreat from the external world and bring awareness forth. To shine your light as beautifully and selflessly as the sun. Our sun is a magnificent example of the power of light and awareness given to all by being present.

It is also an opportunity to connect with higher consciousness so all the veils can be lifted and the darkness can be filled by the light of creation. Darkness is not the absence of light per se; it is just the illusionary perception that light is not there. But when light comes forth, you realize that everything is just part of the all.

Can I ever forgive?

Forgiveness is one of the most complex yet simple aspects of human beings. Forgiveness is not a mental equation you do in your brain; as a result, you will find peace about circumstances that have caused pain and hurt. To do this is to have a superficial approach and a misunderstanding of forgiveness. Realizing this is a challenging action and is one of the first steps.

The mind naturally finds offenders, it is it’s job to discover why something happened and to find a blaming point – or points – for those events. Sometimes, this mental forgiveness happens, and with time, pain emerges again. Making the realization of genuine forgiveness is a very disheartening experience. For forgiveness to arise, with the mystery of compassion that it carries, it’s essential to be responsible for our pain and suffering. This is very tricky. Experiencing pain and noticing the ongoing suffering is a very uncomfortable place to be in.

It’s the beginning of the journey when blaming stops being important, and healing is what is needed. When you hold your pieces and realize how much pain you carry, your attention moves to where it is required. The healing process starts when you allow space for this, focus on where the pain resides within you, and if you are courageous, follow where it leads. This does not mean falling into despair and suffering but allowing the pain to be there, seen, acknowledged, and integrated. To witness this means to realize that there is pain within you that needs your attention.

Slowly, the magic of forgiveness happens. It has its unique journey for everyone, but in the end, you no longer carry the situation and circumstances in your everyday life. There is a personal freedom that arises, and you are no longer weighed down. Life has its flow, and finally, you can be a part of this journey again, consciously.

Is prayer helpful?

For long, it has been interpreted that prayer involves either a religious context or a notion of being unable to solve things independently. Prayer is a natural act for human beings, but most of us have been educated to believe that asking for help is a sign of weakness and that strength involves being independent and successful. With wisdom, we realize that asking for help is an act of courage, honesty, and vulnerability; most of the time, we are not sure if the path we are traveling is correct and if the steps we are taking are the best for us. There are many uncertainties in this life, and prayer can be a profound tool that supports us in many layers.

Through prayer, we can have profound realizations and insights about what is happening inside us. We can discover many truths about ourselves. At the same time, we enter the journey of trusting in higher consciousness (however your name and interpretation maybe) and letting go of many things that cause unnecessary suffering and deplete us of the possibility of being. Life has wisdom and a way the mind can’t understand or foresee. And letting go of control allows us to be here now. Also, as we connect with Higher Consciousness, we enter a space where we can be aware of the miraculous magic that sustains this creation.

In the beginning, prayer involves talking and sharing on our part, and in time, it transforms into more listening and communion.
